The CAS School, Karachi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The CAS School is an educational institution in Karachi, Pakistan. It is also known as Centre for Advanced Studies.

[edit] History

The CAS School was initially inaugurated in 1981 by Sami Mustafa. The school initially offered Ordinary (O) and Advanced (A) Level education based on the British GCSE/A-level system, thus the name "Centre for Advanced Studies". However, later on, conventional grades starting from kindergarten were introduced leading up to 'O' Level; 'A' Level was no longer offered.

The school had three separate sections: Kindergarten, Junior and Senior. These sections were housed in different buildings all in the P.E.C.H.S. aream but after 2004 the main campus moved in defence in phase 8 which is from class 3 to 11. The school's location has since been changed and 'A' Level is once again part of its education system.
