The Buzz (SFU)

The Buzz is a student-run newsletter for undergraduate business students at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, a suburb of Vancouver. It was founded in October 2004 and the name was decided by a naming contest open to all students in the business program.
A previous incarnation of the undergraduate business student newsletter was named Black Ink. The Buzz is the only significant faculty-specific student publication at SFU. The Peak is SFU's general university-wide publication.
The Buzz prints three times per semester (nine per year) and typically has a print run of 200 to 300 copies. Each issue usually has 16-24 pages on 8.5x11 size paper. The print version is available in the West Mall Complex at Simon Fraser University at two locations: outside Raven's cafeteria and in the 2nd floor student lounge.
Student columns, student club events, and interviews with businesspeople and business faculty are staples in the newsletter. Every staff member of The Buzz is a volunteer.
