The Burmese Harp a.k.a. Harp of Burma (Japanese title: Biruma no tategoto) is a 1956 black-and-white film directed by Kon Ichikawa. It was based on a novel written by Michio Takeyama. The film was nominated for the 1956 "Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film".
In 1985, Ichikawa re-made the film, this time in colour and with different actors.
