[edit] Plot

Flatts the Flounder
Flatts the Flounder

SpongeBob is at boating school, and Mrs. Puff announces that there's a new student. His name is Flatts the Flounder, and he threatens to beat up SpongeBob. SpongeBob tries to turn to Mrs. Puff and Patrick for help, but both are no help, especially Patrick, who reveals that he and Flatts were college buddies. Finally, SpongeBob tries to reason with Flatts, who goes to extremes to show him that he's not kidding, and beats him up. SpongeBob doesn't feel it, because he's a sponge which makes him invincible to any form of 'butt-kicking,' and Flatts gets so tired that he collapses from exhaustion. His classmates cheer for Spongebob. However, pitying Flatts, SpongeBob starts a speech, which ends with him making a fist. Mrs. Puff enters and sees SpongeBob making a fist, and believes SpongeBob knocked out Flatts. Mrs. Puff threatens to kick SpongeBob's butt, which as we all know, will not have any effect at all..

[edit] Trivia/Goofs

  • If you listen closely in the background while SpongeBob and Flatts are talking, you can hear Mrs. Puff saying "blah blah blah red light blah blah blah green light blah blah speed".
  • Flatts is seen driving a dump truck in the episode, which makes the fact that he is in boating school seem illogical.
  • When it first showed Flatts come in the classroom and the students were clapping, Spongebob could not be seen
  • Flatts also appeared in Texas.
