The Bubblegum Club

The Bubblegum Club is an Irish organization of doctors and nurses that have created a group that organises days-out for children with life-threatening illnesses. It gives these children the chance of living life to the full and really enjoying themselves.
The days out include an annual trips to Alton Towers, to a ski resort in Tignes, a day event at Croke Park and a Santa's Grotto in Dublin. The club also arranges two weeks of activities in Dublin and Kinsale for seriously ill children from Chernobyl.
A fundraising event was held on 28th May, 2006, in which 500 motorbike enthusiasts rode through the heart of Kildare to Mondello Racetrack in a bid to raise Є50,000.
