The Boy Who Heard Music is an internet novella written by Pete Townshend. The Who mini opera: Wire and Glass is directly based off of this story.

The Story covers the life of "three kids from the neighborhood," especially of one Ray High (who represents Townshend in the story). High is the narrator of the story which starts off in the year 2035, with an old Ray High looking back on what happened to him and his band: The Glass Household.
