[edit] Plot Synopsis

Larry enlists in the help of private investigator Omar Jones (Mekhi Phifer) to find out if he is adopted or not. He notices Omar's bowtie and decides to start wearing one himself. Later, he accidentally alienates himself from the "lesbian community" when he expresses too much joy when discovering his friend Marty Funkhouser's lesbian daughter, Jodi, is now dating a guy.

Meanwhile, Larry and Cheryl's new dog, Sheriff, is deemed "racist" by Wanda Sykes when he barks and growls at her when she comes to visit. This spreads throughout the black community and though Omar Jones expresses displeasure at Larry, he decides to take his adoption case. At Marty Funkhouser's anniversary party, Larry makes Jodi's boyfriend uncomfortable when talking about sex with Jodi and unknowingly causes them to break up, allowing the "community" to accept Larry again. At the end of the episode, Sheriff allows Omar to pet him, but barks and growls when Rosie O'Donnell attempts the same.
