The Bluegrass Sessions is a name of a 2004 Bluegrass album made by 1970s Country Music artist Lynn Anderson. The Country Pop singer Lynn Anderson is best-known for her 1970 crossover hit "(I Never Promised You a) Rose Garden", which won her a Grammy award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 1971. This album The Bluegrass Sessions Bluegrass versions of some of her biggest hits, including "Rose Garden", and other big hits that she Anderson had in the 70s, like "Cry", "Top of the World", "How Can I Unlove You" and "What a Man My Man Is". The song also featured a remake of The Drifters' hit "Under the Boardwalk", as well as John Prine's "Paradise". The album was very well accepted to the public when it was released in 2004 and was given high critical acclaim. The album also nominated Anderson for a Grammy Award in 2005 for "Best Bluegrass Album", which was her first Grammy nomination in over 30 years.
