The blank theory released Beyond the Calm of the Corridor on September 24, 2002, via independent label, New Line Records. The band disbanded early 2005.

Their cover of Portishead's Sour Times was one of two singles from Beyond the Calm of the Corridor and can be heard in the movie trailer to Wicker Park. The other single titled "Middle of Nowhere" was featured on the Freddy VS Jason soundtrack and in Final Destination 2.

The band's founding member and guitarist/composer Michael Foderaro and drummer James Knight went on to form the doomsday social, along with two members from another Chicago based group called "Madhops".

Vocalist Nathan Leone and bassist Matthew Leone, formed a group called Madina Lake, along with two members from a group called "Reforma". Madina Lake were signed by Roadrunner Records August 16, 2005 [1]. They have finished recording their debut album, From Them, Through Us, To You, which is was released March 27, 2007. Madina Lake, named after the fictional 1950's town from a story Matthew penned. The town is turned upside down when its most famous socialite, Adalia, mysteriously disappears.

Nathan Leone and Matthew Leone are identical twins. The Leone twins first gained nationwide media recognition when they appeared together on a special episode of the television series Fear Factor, using the money the earned from eating cow guts and hanging from helicopters to pay for a demo for their new band.
