The Black Sun is a 2005 ficticious novel by British author James Twining dealing with Nazi mysticism.

It is interesting to note that the depiction of the Wewelsburg castle Schwarze Sonne mosaic and symbol both in the fictional content and the cover design of this novel is facing the wrong way. The reason for this is not mentioned in the novel. The description of the symbol in the book matches that of the images used in the book so is incorrect, especially as the novel is based on the Wewelsburg mosaic.
