The Biography Channel is a Canadian category 1 digital cable specialty channel. It presents in-depth biographies on famous people throughout history and today including, celebrities, politicians, and historical figures. It is wholly owned by Rogers Media.

Licensed as The Biography Channel by the CRTC on November 24, 2000; the channel launched on September 7, 2001 as a joint venture between Rogers Media (33.34%), Shaw Communications (33.33%) and A&E Television Networks (33.33%). In 2006 both Shaw and A&E sold their interests in the channel to Rogers.
