Krang and Shredder want to re-power the Technodrome, at this point of the series located at the Earth's core. The Technodrome has run out of power and the ledge it is on over the lava is about to go and they are in danger of falling in the lava. They send Bebop and Rocksteady to a power plant to steal energy modules. Bebop and Rocksteady seem to make it easy, until the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) arrive and stop them. Bebop and Rocksteady wonder how the TMNT could know where Bebop and Rocksteady should strike. Leonardo answers that it was easy, since this was the only power plant in New York City that Bebop and Rocksteady did not stroke against yet. Bebop and Rocksteady escape.

Mewanwhile, April is broadcasting from "Fort Charles" about a power source there. Krang and Shedder hear her broadcast. April tells the viewers that a super-computer called "CY-CLOMPS" protects Fort Charles from intruders. The computer controls all of the robots at Fort Charles.

From the Technodrome's computers, Shredder manages to reprogram the super-computer from the Technodrome (Shredder had used the last of the technodrome's power doing this) and instructs it to imprison April in an air tight vault. They have to use a bike pedal to power in the technodrome to keep the transmission as it is out of power.

The TMNT also watch April's broadcast, and as the TV shows April being imprisoned, they believe that Krang and Shredder are after the power source. On their way to Fort Charles, April contacts them via her Turtle Comm and tell them that she is running out of air in the vault. The TMNT have to hurry or she will die.

Vernon Fenwick is broadcasting from Fort Charles and even says that if April perishes he will cover for her and get a bigger raise. Not far away from Fort Charles, Bebop and Rocksteady are stealing energy modules from another army building. It's very easy for them, and it is those energy modules that Krang and Shredder want. Since Krang told Shredder that the Fort Charles energy source is instable, the plan is to distract the TMNT that Shredder is after the Fort Charles energy source.

When the TMNT arrive at Fort Charles, they have to destroy a lot of the robots guarding Fort Charles and they go through many obstacles with this. With this done, they finally reactivate the super-computer and reprogram it to open the vault and rescue April just in time. Shredder believes that Bebop and Rocksteady can't do they mission. Shredder takes a transport module up to Fort Charles and take the power source of Fort Charles. After a fight lost to the TMNT where he told them that it is dangerous, he escapes in the transport module. Donatello throws the power source towards the transport module, damaging it. However, Shredder manages to return back to the Technodrome without being hurt. The technodrome is back to full power!

Back in the sewers, the TMNT learn from the news that energy modules were stolen from another building. They now realize that Krang and Shredder is behind this.
