The Big Four in Premier League football are Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. These are four English clubs arguably with the most combined financial power, player attraction and worldwide support. As such, they consistently finish highest in the league and are the usual English representatives in the UEFA Champions League. There now seems to be case for these teams getting bigger and bigger and leaving the rest of the league behind.

This has not always been the case in the Premiership, with Blackburn Rovers winning the league in 1995 and both Newcastle United and Leeds United making serious challenges for the title and finishing consistently in the top four. However, since 2002 the Big Four have seemingly broken away with just Everton and Newcastle United breaking the dominance and finishing inside the top four on solitary occasions.

In addition, the last time one of the big four clubs did not win the FA Cup was 1995 when Everton beat Manchester United.
