The Beesknees are a garage rock group formed in 2003 based out of Delran and Cinnaminson in New Jersey.

Cited influences include Teenage Fanclub, Richard Lloyd, The Monkees, The Yardbirds and The Beatles. Their songs are fairly simple and deal mostly with love or nothing at all. Frank DiBiase (lead vocals, guitars) and Mike Fisher (guitars, vocals) were in the now disbanded indie rock group The Ambient Takeover who along with North Star Infinite, were signed to Still Contagious Records.

[edit] Very Brief History

Originally started as "Tammany Hall" a sideproject of Frank's who slowly started to become a song writer in his own right and began to compose and record songs at his home studio as early as November 2003 with Mike. The duo began to slowly form a band of their own, around the same time that their full-time band The Ambient Takeover was on the verge of collapsing after several issues within the band began to develop. In the midst of a tour in September of 2004 the band played their last show at Club 218 in Philadelphia, PA without lead guitarist Jeremy Birnbaum who had left the band shortly before the show.

After the break up, they began to write and record more at Frank's basement studio. Once it was realized that they were ready to play out, the band enlisted the services of one Ed Morton, a local panhandler, to become their bassist in January of 2005. Their song quality and character has grown greatly since the early incarnations of what was to be, The Beesknees. With a back catalogue of over 60 songs, the band has amassed a great deal of material in such a short amount of time.

[edit] Recent Changes

In November of 2006 the band hired Andrew Pancoast as their full-time drummer in the space left by Mike who made the switch to guitar.
