The Beautiful Mistake is a Emocore band from San Diego, California. Formed in 2000, the band has released two albums, the 2002 debut album, "Light A Match, For I Deserve To Burn", and 2004's "This Is Who You Are".
Since forming they have had a revolving door of drummers to contend with. In fact, the day before pre-production was to commence for This Is Who You Are, the band kicked out their drummer at the time. The band’s original drummer, Josh Quesada eventually rejoined them to record that album.
As of January 2006, The Beautiful Mistake is on a hiatus.
