[edit] Academics

The curriculum at Bear Creek is a classical curriculum based on the trivium. The school is considered to be a college preparatory school. The rigorous curriculum is intended only for the ambitious student who plans to attend a four year university, if not a tier one private school or ivy league school. On average, Bear Creek students receive two to three hours of homework per night, and are required to take an AP class during their Junior and Senior years. Despite being a young and small school, Bear Creek offers an astonishing sixteen AP classes. The school has been home to several national merit semi-finalists, and finalists. Most recently, two students from the class of 2007 had the distinction of achieving perfect scores on the College Board SAT.

The School in 1997 became a member of the WIAA. In 2000 Bear Creek opted-up to the division 1A classification. The school was technically supposed to be in a smaller division. The results were terrible for the school, as the basketball team only won two games the entire season and lost games by as much as fifty-five points. The boy's soccer team that year won one game.
