[edit] Plot
Julian is confident that today after making the big dope sale to all the guards at the prisons across the province, he will be rich and able to retire from crime. Today, Ricky is also very confident in himself: he will be taking his exams to qualify for a Grade 10 education. However, he starts to lose faith when he hears that Cyrus will be taking the same exam as well. Meanwhile, local veterinarian and former candidate for Trailer Park Supervisor Sam Losco publicly announces he will propose to park owner Barb Lahey, which deeply worries Julian for a number of reasons. First, it was he, Ricky, and Bubbles that cost him the election for TPS a few months earlier, and he is basically a greaseball bastard whom they despise. Desperate to stop the engagement, he decides to frame Sam as a cheater on women by enticing him into doing one of J-Roc's porn films, in which Bubbles is also starring in. Titled The Bare Pimp Project, it consists of sex-starved lumberjacks, erotic witches, and stick pimps. Even though he has had no acting experience, save for a number of high school productions, Sam agrees to appear in the film.
Back at the exam, Ricky finds that Cyrus is making him nervous and lose focus on the questions. He sees that Cyrus is cheating by looking over a guy's shoulder at his answers and exposes him to the teacher. Cyrus is told that he has failed the class and leaves furious, vowing revenge at Ricky. Following the completion of The Bare Pimp Project, Julian takes a copy of the finished product to show Barb, who angrily confronts Sam over it and dumps him. As he heads out of the park (to get the dope for the sale, he says), he is surprised to find Treena Lahey stowed away in the back seat of his car. He tells her to wait as he goes out into the woods alone for reasons only known to him. Later, Ricky returns to Sunnyvale where Lucy tells him that Cyrus is hell-bent on killing him in revenge for causing him to fail the exam, and she asks him to take her back and start their relationship again. While Ricky considers the option, Lahey and Randy show up at the dope trailer, intent on stopping the dope sale scheme. Despite the efforts of Barb and Treena to stop the rising tensions, Cyrus appears and begins to shoot at Ricky. Sam Losco shows up and starts firing at them with Cyrus, in revenge for his break-up with Barb. Julian holds him at bay while Ricky, who gets shot in the arm, and Bubbles get into the truck, and they all head off to the countryside, hoping to avoid Lahey. The cops show up at the park and hustles Sam and Cyrus off to jail for possession of unlicensed firearms.
During their getaway, Bubbles turns on the truck's radio and learns that the police are monitoring their movements, and they all realize that a police helicopter has been following them. Ricky yells at the aircraft to leave, while Julian unsuccessfully tries to explain about the dope. Bubbles sees a kitty on the road and swerves to save it, but they crash into a ditch beside a farm yard. As a swarm of police vehicles descend on them, Julian and Ricky try to run for it on foot, while Bubbles gets caught in chicken wire and pretends to be a farmer feeding his cows. They "confess" to the police that Bubbles is innocent and they are the guilty ones. Lahey and Randy arrive at the scene and try to convince Officer George Green that they were planning to sell dope, but to his embarrassment and dismay, there is nothing in the trailer at all! It turns out that Julian had done the deal earlier that day in the woods.
One week later, it is revealed that Ricky and Julian are serving three months in prison for reckless driving, unintentional destruction of property and speeding, but they are intent on retiring from crime as soon as they can get out. Ricky, in particular, is very happy in that he has finally got his Grade 10, and his relationship with Lucy, who has came a few times to visit him in prison, is looking up.
[edit] Trivia
- The episode, as well as the title, is an obvious parody of the hit horror film The Blair Witch Project. It is similar to the Trailer Park Boys in that both are low-budget and both show characters breaking the fourth wall occasionally.
- This is the last appearance of Ellen Page as Treena Lahey.
- The chase towards the end of the episode involving the cops and their getaway truck is a homage to the O.J Simpson highway chase, after the former football star was suspected of murdering his wife. One of the cops is heard uttering "White Bronco."
- One of the books Ricky is using to "study" for his Grade 10 is a Fodor's guide to Amsterdam, a city infamous for common recreational drug use.
