Frank Pollard wakes up in an alley, covered in blood. He knows nothing but his name, and that he must get away fast, our else he'll be killed. He just barely escapes to save his life. Every time he goes to sleep, he wakes up with some thing new and bizare. He enlists the help of husband-wife security team, Bobby and Julie Dakota. The Dakotas agree to help, because helping him will bring them closer to their dream, where they can buy a beach bungalow for themselves and Julie's brother Thomas, who has Down Syndrome. Thomas knows that if they take this case, then they will fight the bad thing, who will kill them. To Thomas, death is the bad place, from which there is no return. But with the likes of Candy Pollard in the world, there are things worse than death.
