The Backyard Show is a home video featuring Barney and the Backyard Gang. Released in 1988.

Barney comes to visit Michael and Amy in their backyard in order to help them plan a surprise birthday party for their dad. The other backyard gang members also show up and together they learn how to use their imaginations by putting on some costumes that they found in their garage to put on a special "show". They end the show by presenting a very special birthday cake to Michael and Amy's dad as he gets to make a wish and blow out the candles.
