The story is set six months prior to the death of James T. Kirk, as shown in Star Trek: Generations. While coping with retirement on Earth, Kirk meets a young and seductive Klingon/Romulan woman named Teilani. Her planet is being threatened due to its fountain of youth properties. Kirk and the rest of the Enterprise crew team up to make an attempt at saving her planet from destruction.
