The Annual Quarterly is a free quarterly zine distributed mainly throughout Cleveland's western suburbs. Each issue is subtitled "For those who find things interesting." with exception to Volume I Issue IV which featured a cover drawn by area artist Mike Wohl. The zine features a wide array subject matter including political, historical, sociological, artistic, and cultural content. Readers are encouraged to submit articles to the zine via e-mail for publication.

The Annual Quarterly was created by John Boles during the summer of 2005. Using skills acquired while attending the graphic communications program at Polaris Career Center, John published the first issue in October, 2005 with the assistance of classmates Annie Videc and Mark Jablonski. With continued help from his friends and readers there have been five issues of The Annual Quarterly published to date with the sixth due out in the beginning of January, 2007.
