The Animit
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Animit was a band from Northern New Jersey, in the United States. They formed in 2002. The bass player, Rich, left the band after a bitter dispute, presumably around February 15, 2005, when the official site was taken down (the site has not been changed since [1]). On February 23, 2005 they announced the newly formed band would be Symmetry Breaking (named after the physics concept), with a new bassist.
Notable venues the band has played include CBGB, and Albion (formerly Batcave)
The band is well-known for starting the Porky's music scene, which established a concert venue in the somewhat rural area of Sussex County.
