The Angrez

The Angrez is a 2006 Indian movie directed by Kuntaa Nikkil.
The word "Angrez" in Hindustani language refers to English people, and in general, to all foreigners, specifically the whites. "The Angrez" is the first movie in Hyderabadi dialect[citation needed].
The movie takes a dig on Hyderabadis and revolves around three sets of people.
- The Angrez - Two guys who come back from US to serve the top management of a tech solutions call-centre.
- Ismail bhai & gang - The real funny bunch of Muslim guys from Old city i.e Charminar area, the ones who just live in their own pride of silly things.
- Anna & gang - These are the Hyderabadi Hindus/ Telangana specific fellows and are portrayed as those with good muscle power but no brains at all.
The movie was rated as Adults only, for its vulgar comedy and improper language. The movie was released in only one theater "Ramakrishna 70mm" in Hyderabad and CDs/DVDs were released only after it completed 25 weeks.
