The Ancient Future by Traci Harding is a 3 book triad, and has been extremely successful in Australia where it was published, and overseas as well. It is centered around a girl called Tory Alexander, who when travelling to her aunt's house in England, is taken back in time. She lands in the Dark Age, in the year 519, and immediately meets Maelgwn, Dragon of the Isle.

Maelgwn and Tory soon fall in love and marry, and have a child called Rhun.

Tory now has the power to change British History forever.
