Note 1: Andre & Damon arrived 7th, but since they didn't follow the donkey route correctly, they were penalized 78 minutes and fell to 9th. They then overslept an extra three minutes at the start of the next leg. Dennis & Andrew arrived 8th and Teri & Ian arrived 9th.
Note 2: Dennis & Andrew used the Fast Forward in England, but they still fell behind the other teams and were eliminated.
Note 3: Heather & Eve arrived 1st, but they didn't follow the last clue (they travelled by taxi to the Pit Stop instead of on foot) and therefore received a 37 minute penalty.
Note 4: Derek & Drew arrived 3rd, but they forgot to pick up the clue containing the Roadblock which caused them to fall to last place and were eliminated.
Note 5: It was unknown whether Michael & Kathy had performed the Roadblock in Leg 5.
- Red means the team was eliminated.
- Blue means the team was the last to arrive at a pit stop in a non-elimination leg of the race.
- Green means the team won the Fast Forward clue.

[edit] Trivia
[edit] General
- This edition has featured the first father/son team.
- This edition featured the first female winner of The Amazing Race, Flo.
- The Finish Line was in Gasworks Park in Seattle, Washington, the same exact place where the Starting Line was in Season 10.
- This edition featured the oldest couple (Teri and Ian) to make it into the final three.
- This is the only season, besides Season 1, in which every single country visited had never been visited on a previous season. New countries included Mexico, United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
- This is also the first season to stay entirely in the Northern Hemisphere
[edit] Pre-Race
- Jill and her brother F.T. were originally applied for Season 1. Later, her brother was killed in 9/11, and John Vito and Jill applied in remembrance of him.
[edit] In Race
- Derek & Drew become the first team in history to arrive in 11th place and not be eliminated.
- Dennis & Andrew became the first team to use the Fast Forward and be eliminated. But they were not the first team to use it and be the last team to arrive. Joe & Bill used that and were last to arrive in Season 1. But they were not eliminated due to Nancy & Emily's 24-hour penalty for skipping the detour.
- Heather and Eve were the first team to arrive at the Pit Stop in Portugal on Leg 4, but they misread a clue that told them to walk to the Pit Stop rather than take a taxi. They proceeded to walk the rest of the way, but received a 7 minute time penalty for the advantage gained (the 2nd team arrived 7 minutes later), plus an additional 30 minutes. Since all teams arrived less than 37 minutes apart, Heather and Eve were the first team ever to arrive first and be eliminated.
- Andre and Damon were officially detained in Leg 6, when their taxi took them far out of the way in Morocco and they encountered a local official who wanted to seize their passports. Andre and Damon refused, and The Amazing Race's security team had to come help them out of the situation.
- In Leg 7, Andre & Damon, already in last, upon arrival at the Detour, received a clue instructing them to go directly to the Pit Stop. At the Pit Stop, they returned the dollar they received at the start of the leg to Phil and said that they did not need it.
- In Leg 7, Flo and Zach took the Fast Forward, which allowed them to skip all the tasks in Austria, and they stayed in Germany for the entire leg. This makes them the first, and to date, only winners of the race to entirely skip a country that was visited.
- On the "Dry" Detour of Leg 10, teams received a clue from Singaporean actor Gurmit Singh, who acted as Phua Chu Kang.
- On Leg 11 in Vietnam, all route markers were solid yellow instead of red and yellow. This was done to avoid confusion with the Vietnamese national flag, which is also red and yellow.
- On Leg 12, Flo & Zach switched their Detour task twice. This is the first time a team has switched Detours twice in the race.
[edit] Post Race
- After the race, John Vito and Jill hosted a show that promoted Singapore tourism.[1]
- Zach worked on NBC's production crew for the 2004 Summer Olympics. [2]
- Aaron accidentally stumbled upon one of the Pit Stops of Season 6 while backpacking in Europe.
- Flo and Drew are got together romantically and are still going out with each other. They declined to race in the All Stars.
- John Vito & Jill were selected to race in The Amazing Race All-Stars. They finished 11th (last).
- Teri & Ian were selected to race in The Amazing Race All-Stars. They finished 7th.
- In the opening interview on the premiere episode for All-Stars, Ian claimed that they were less than 2 minutes behind Flo & Zach at the finish line. That statement could make sense as it was the fourth closest finish ever.
