[edit] Plot
Jerry and Elaine are flying home from St. Louis to New York after Jerry has performed a show and Elaine has visited her sister. When their flight home gets canceled, Jerry and Elaine rebook on another flight with one seat left in first class and one in coach. After a brief tense moment during which Jerry explains that he cannot fly coach since he's flown first class before, Elaine gets cramped into coach and Jerry parties in first class with a model. Due to their having to rebook and a rerouting of their flight, George and Kramer go between JFK and LaGuardia to pick them up. When they settle on an airport George meets a convict and Kramer sees a former roommate of his who owes him $240 from twenty years ago. Kramer hatches a scheme to get the money back that involves him and George buying tickets for the man's flight and boarding it.
[edit] Trivia
- Larry Charles is the passenger leaving the airplane toilet as Elaine enters.
- Larry David can be heard off-screen claiming to have ordered the kosher meal.
- Annie Korzen, who usually appears as Jack Klompus' wife, appeared as a passenger in this episode.
- Jennifer Campbell plays the model in first class with Jerry.
- Several exterior shots show the livery of the plane Jerry and Elaine are in. It is clearly Southwest Airlines. However, SWA does not fly into either LaGuardia or JFK, and SWA does not have first class. However, the interior shows that the airline is really Trans World Airlines (TWA)
[edit] Quotes
- George: I'm going to stop in the gift shop to pick up a copy of Time magazine. There's a blurb about Jerry, and I think he mentioned my name.
- Prisoner being escorted by two marshalls: Gotta get my Time magazine. I never miss my Time magazine.
- Marshall: Okay, let's get your magazine and get out of here.
(George and the prisoner both reach the magazine rack and George grabs the last copy of Time just as the prisoner reached for it)
- Prisoner: Hey, I was going to take that.
- George: Gee, I'm sorry. I got here first.
- Prisoner: I don't care when you got here. I want the magazine.
- George: You don't understand--there's a blurb about me in this magazine.
- Prisoner: A blurb? You're a blurb! Check out the cover, idiot!
(George looks at the cover and sees a mugshot of the prisoner with the word "Caught!" underneath it)
- Prisoner: I want the magazine!
- George: Uh...no.
- Prisoner: If I wasn't in these shackles...
- George: But you are, Blanche! You are in the shackles!
- (Now stuggling to break free of the marshalls) Prisoner: You little son of a....
- (Chuckling) George: Oh, I can't wait to read my Time magazine! Last copy, too. Maybe I'll read it tomorrow, in the park...it's supposed to be a bee-yoo-tiful day! Have a nice life....sentence, that is!
[edit] Goofs

However, during the flight Elaine sneaks into the First Class section and tries to sleep in two empty seats, indicating that there were more than two seats available.
