[edit] Overview
Most of the songs are executed at speed with vocals from John Joseph which inspired sound-alikes. Eric Ozenne of Californian hardcore bands from the mid-1990s, Redemption 87 and The Nerve Agents, is one more notable member of the hardcore fraternity who has professed more than a passing interest in the Cro-Mags – even so far as to cover "Hard Times" on one of their albums. However, "Malfunction" and "Life Of My Own" are slower songs and more metallic influences, with guitar solos, followed on their next project, three years later, with the crossover thrash bracketed Best Wishes.
