The Adventure of the Clapham Cook (TV 1989)

The first episode of the television series Agatha Christie's Poirot, "The Adventure of the Clapham Cook", establishes David Suchet in the role of Hercule Poirot. It is based on Agatha Christie's short story of the same name, which was published in Poirot's Early Cases in 1974.
When a Mrs. Ernestine Todd from Clapham comes to Poirot's apartment with the case of her missing cook, he is at first insulted with being associated with such a trivial affair. But soon he realizes his fault, and the case leads him to investigations of robbery and murder.
