“The Abominable Snow Rabbit”, a Warner Bros. Looney Tunes Cartoon, was released theatrically on May 20, 1961 starring Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. The run time of this cartoon is 7:53. “The Abominable Snow Rabbit” was directed by Chuck Jones and co-directed by Maurice Noble. The cartoon was originally written by Tedd Pierce.

The plot of this cartoon is that Bugs and Daffy go on vacation in the Himalayas and while there they encounter the Abominable Snowman. The snow man is looking for a pet and Bugs and Daffy are not to excited to potentially become his new pet friend. Throughout the cartoon, Bugs and Daffy try to persuade the Snowman why he should choose one as opposed to the other.

An interesting fact about this cartoon was that it was the first appearance of Hugo the Abominable Snow Man. This cartoon was also originally done in color unlike some of the earlier Bugs Bunny cartoons. This cartoon can be purchased on the videos "Looney Tunes After Dark" and "Bugs Bunny: Big Top Bunny".
