The 50s on 5 (or the 50s) is a commercial-free, satellite radio station on the XM Satellite Radio platform. It plays music from the 1950s, mostly the Top 40 hits. The channel is programmed by Ken Smith, and Music Director is Matt The Cat. Like the other decades channels, The 50s on 5 attempts to recreate the feel of 1950s radio. They use similar DJ habits, jingles, 50s slang, and news updates. The channel is also used for XM's annual pop music chronology, IT.
