The 31st of February

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 31st of February was a 60's rock band that featured Butch Trucks, who would later become one of the drummers for The Allman Brothers Band. Although they never came out with an album, they cut a few tracks that featured Duane and Gregg Allman. They did a cover of Jeff Beck's hit "Morning Dew" which they sent into Georgian radios and it became a local hit. Another single, "Sandcastles," got a national release on Vanguard Records and experienced success in multiple regions of the United States. It was later recorded by Merrilee Rush and The Turnabouts.
