"For the reader's convenience, every book you have ever read is a version 8.3."
Is it right to say this? The existence of the Book Operating System is only established within the Nextiverse. OTOH, the books themselves do purport to be published by the same means as the books within the fiction (e.g. the Goliath corporation logos, and adverts for character exchange programmes).
