Talk:The Sports Network

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Those of us outside of Ontario, prefer to call it: Toronto Sports Network due to its biased coverage of Toronto area teams (Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, Raptors). RedWolf 05:43, Nov 14, 2003 (UTC)

Come on, isn't every national channel that covers sports, news, etc... Toronto centric!?

Well, kind of, except with Sports it's a lot more obvious and frustrating to viewers, because it determines what events they show, etc.Habsfannova 04:57, 1 August 2005 (UTC)

I don't think it is actually "The Sports Network" anymore, its just TSN. Similar to how ESPN is just ESPN. I'm not 100% sure, but if its true the first sentence should be re-worded to something like "TSN (originally The Sports Network)..."

  • I agree, the first line should at least be rearranged to say "TSN (The Sports Network)", maybe TSN still officially means The Sports Network but that is never said on air--BoyoJonesJr 18:54, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
In this ESPN article: here they site TSN as "The Sports Network".Habsfannova 03:31, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
Well not that article, but you often see it written like that in american articles and what not because it is the official name but I can't remember the last time The Sports Network was used on TSN itself--BoyoJonesJr 18:07, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The parking lot

Why is the parking lot info even there, it seems erevelent to this article and useless... 74.109.62.238 07:39, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, it does seem really trivial. --Wafulz 18:09, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
