Editing Guidelines |
Please remember these guidelines when editing a film article:
- If a non-film article already exists with the name of the film that you are trying to create an article for, disambiguate and use (film) in the title: Film Title (film)
- When writing an article about a particular film, the general format should be a concise lead section, followed by a plot summary of no more than 900 words, production details, a cast list, a reception section, and references.
- Create an Infobox that tells all pertinent information about the film.

A nicely done advertisement for an as-yet unreleased film (the first feature film for its makers, Dunkirk Studios). There are half a dozen more significant films with this same title (one in 2003, one in 2004, etc) listed at IMDB. There is no IMDB listing for this film yet. If it gets released, an article may be appropriate, since the threshold for inclusion at Wikipedia is very low, so I'm resisting the temptation to AfD the page. - I know this was a long time ago, but I'd just like to set the record straight: The Sacrifice was released before this article was created. However, its release was very small, and formal DVD sales did not start until somewhat later. Having seen this at Gaylaxicon, and having taken part in many VfD discussions myself (what's now called AfD), I felt that the movie was substantial enough in terms of being screened at a number of notable events on the East Coast in MA, FL, and NJ among others. It's certainly not as notable as a limited-release indie film, but not everything that's notable enough for Wikipedia is. The article is not an ad, though I suppose it has some effect in that respect. If there's anyting about the article which anyone feels is not up-to-par, feel free to fix it. -Harmil 02:17, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
