[edit] V for Victor
Nabokov was, by the end of his relationship with Andrew Field, pretty resistant to the younger man's efforts to write about him. Mightn't the "V stands for Victor" have been a flippant dismissal of any personal connection to the initial? Dybryd 00:27, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, Field's biographies of Nabokov are not well-regarded anymore, and I hate to see them cited here, compared to, say, the work of Brian Boyd. I considered removing the V is for Victor reference, but haven't fully decided to do so yet. -- PKtm 00:52, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
