[edit] Argentine or American

In the book Martin is an Argentine stundent, but I am 99% sure that in the film he is American. Jane-21 14:56, 29 March 2007.

Jane, I'll check with members of the extra cast and get back to you. Ed edwpat

I checked. The extras said they expected Elijah to have an accent, but he is in fact an American in the film - so Jan, it's confirmed right from the set. edwpat

Thanks Ed!Jane-2114:04, 30 March 2007.
Pitiful! I guess Elijah would have too much work doing an Argentine Spanish accent... --Mariano(t/c) 17:11, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
It's a good thing it doesn't really matter, because it would detract from his performance (Latin accet? German accent? Who would know?). I think after 40 films, Elijah Wood can withstand the test of a script and survive misguided pity. Edwpat. Come see him on the set signing the broadside for my novel. http://www.dancaster.com/popgift.htm
