[edit] Primary sources

I don't know what references you want me to add to this article, but apart from the band's website, the America's Got Talent show itself would be the foremost primary source. You can go over to the America's Got Talent website with this link, click on "The Millers" and view clips of the band's performances. There are clips using the following navigation:

  • Highlights < Week 3 < The Millers
  • Highlights < Week 4 Semifinals < The Millers
  • Highlights < Week 4 Semifinals < Judges react to the Millers
  • Highlights < Week 4 Results < The Millers
  • Highlights < The Finals < The Millers

I don't have time now to include the USA Today reference in the AGT article that supports the Millers' performance. There is also a set of articles at Reality TV Magazine about America's Got Talent. Other than these sources, I don't konw what else you're aiming for.

Also, I am aware that this is an amateur band, which would normally not be notable. But per VoiceOfReason's recent comment on AfD, it meets WP:BAND because of placement in the competition above. I know they have appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently, which I didn't see. I asked RadioKirk to look over this article because he has worked with other America's Got Talent contestant bios, and has actually done a great job (see Bianca Ryan and The Passing Zone). So I say, be patient for this article to grow. Tinlinkin 08:21, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

I've been a bit busy for the last few days and haven't had a chance to get on this, but let me make a proposal: this page should be rewritten as The Clayton Miller Band. Reason: originally The Clayton Miller Blues Band (and still using that logo), both claytonmillerbluesband.com and claytonmillerband.com use info(at)claytonmillerband.com as the official e-mail while the latter site omits "blues" from the logo. There is no indication I have found to date that anyone other than Cole and LD has ever appeared as "The Millers" or anywhere but AGT under that name. Input is appreciated. :) RadioKirk (u|t|c) 21:17, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
I generally have no problem with the renaming. But according to this message board topic, only the two of them performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. (Again, I haven't seen the program.) So it does seem, at this time, that the duo are better known than the 4-member band. The lack of other recent publicity after AGT, sources, etc., also seems to be troubling to me. Yeah, that's the problem, really; though AGT made the duo better known, there's no indication to date that the duo will continue as a duo without the remainder of the original band. Also, the band has two albums out while the duo has none (and none announced). Bit of a wicket, this, as the Brits might say ;) RadioKirk (u|t|c) 17:25, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
