Talk:The Locust
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"To download audio samples of The Locust is one thing, but to get the full impact of the band it is recommended to see them live."
Can this be altered into a less review:ish style?
"Some members formerly played in, of all things, a somewhat well known emo band called Swing Kids."
I'll remove the "of all things" part myself.
"The Locust vehemently boycotts Clear Channel Communications, a monopolistic radio giant that plays nothing but souless commercial music on stations across the States." NPOV? --TheSock 05:52, September 2, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Flight of the Wounded Locust; LP or EP?
OK, so it's currently down as an album, but I'd always thought it was an EP (I've also seen it called this by Amazon and reviews I've read of it), what does anyone else think? I did some work on its page, and, to keep it easy for me, left it classed as an album for now Edward Nygma 00:23, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
Well, I think it is an album, as it has what, 10 tracks? They may be short, but as The Locust's songs are almost always really short, and they have not released anything longer than 21 minutes, it should count. --Janster 22:29, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Should this page have a link to long song titles like this?

[edit] genres
FAO, the person who is making changes from ip address 216.68.166.46. I realise that 'noisecore' is not the ideal label for the locust but 'metalcore' is a misleading label to give this band. Yes, The Locust is genre-defying but we might have to compromise a little to give a reasonably accurate description. If you really don't think noisecore fits, then i think grindcore would be a closer alternative than metalcore. --Will.law 11:00, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
Cybergrind my foot. That's a human drumming that way, get over it. I'm cleaning this shit up. Locust for life. Gatesofawesome! 01:23, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh shit, I fucked up the locust info box thing. I removed cybergrind, and status (redundant, 1994-present) and now the coding is fucked. Help?
