[edit] This game was NEVER planned
If you look in the link this article references, this is what is stated:
GI: Will there be any connectivity with the Nintendo DS?
Aonuma: No there won’t be any connectivity with the DS. We do have another Zelda game up and running on the DS, but unfortunately, because our goal is to get this one done by the end of the year we can’t focus too much attention on that one.
GI: Is that Four Swords DS?
Aonuma: No, it’s not Four Swords. Actually, the interview that I was talking about a DS Zelda and Four Swords, I was explaining that with Four Swords we worked with two screens, and because of the experience we had with working with two screens we could easily adapt a system like that with the DS and do different things with it. But I never said that we were actually developing Four Swords for the DS.
In light of this, I believe this article belongs in the development section of Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Judgesurreal777 06:00, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Developers are notorious for denying the development of certain games, only to turn around later and admit they were. Despite the fact that the game may be cancelled, it's still no reason for the two to be merged, as they are two separate games with separate playing styles. If Phantom Hourglass incorporates a "Four Swords style" multiplayer function that is similar or the same as what this was, THEN it should be merged. PeanutCheeseBar 10:16, 24 September 2006 (EST)

- No, you see, he denies it was ever a cancelled game at all, there never WAS a cancelled Four Swords DS, it was just a misunderstanding. They were really developing Phantom Hourglass. As to his denial being true or not, that would need some references to be anything but speculation.Judgesurreal777 18:15, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

- I believe that this should be merged. I mean, how much more info could an article on a cancelled game get anyway. Besides, it seem that this game was never going to exist in the first place. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 01:16, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

- I found more information by accident, in which Miyamoto said they were thinking about making a Zelda DS Four Swords game.http://ds.ign.com/articles/555/555485p1.html So I guess this could stay....Judgesurreal777 00:25, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
