Talk:The Gazette (Montreal)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Was it not bilingual initially, not French language only? --Liberlogos 02:11, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Since this paper doesn't have the word "Montreal" in its name, should it be at The Gazette, à la The Times? - Montréalais 08:22, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
- Only if it can be absolutely proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that no other newspaper in the world can make a similar claim to be at the title The Gazette without a city name to disambiguate. Bearcat 01:29, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
- What's on top of page 1 should be considered the title. If we need to disambiguate, I'd use "The Gazette (Montreal)", "The Gazette (Colorado Springs)", etc. Stickguy 01:56, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
- I'm fine with making that the rule, as long as we're consistent about it. But I would also note that far more people call it the Montreal Gazette than not. Bearcat 02:03, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
