Talk:The Dog House

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

9/29: After yesterday's "attack" on this page, and after protection was added, an obviously biased fan of JV and Elvis made some edits. Can somebody with permission remove the P.O.V. statements? Something like:

On September 28, 2006, the Opie and Anthony Show, which immediately precedes the Dog House, was extended half an hour into the Dog House timeslot and CBS Radio played fifteen minutes of commercials before The Dog House was allowed on the air. JV and Elvis complained on the air about having to wait, which prompted Opie and Anthony to call in. Hosts from the two shows engaged in a bitter argument, available here.[1]

Or, probably even better, remove the paragraph altogether. This whole issue will be forgotten by tomorrow. -JJP

You don't know how these things work... Andrewhime 15:19, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

I know how proper english works. That paragraph displays neither proper english nor neutrality. "Pissed off" and "dicked" in an encyclopedia? Come on. Moreover, one argument is hardly relevant to their career. 70.16.199.107 16:19, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] O&A vs The Dog House

On September 29, 2006, the Opie and Anthony Show extended their show almost twenty minutes into the 9 O'Clock hour to piss off the Dog House. Despite that, support was shown that day to the Dog House during their live broadcast; fans shouting chants such as "Opie and Anthony suck".

I don't remember anybody calling saying Opie and Anthony suck damn dog house fans need to stop lying could someone change this because it enever happened

You guys are correct, that was a little biased. I have rewritten it a bit. However I don't believe that this will be "hardly relevant to their career" as O&A are flexing their muscle at Free FM. Today (9/29) O&A continued into their timeslot again, this time just for kicks where Anthony claimed "I sign off when I want". KaBewM - Sept 29, 2006

I thought Opie said that? Andrewhime 21:31, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

My mistake. You sir are correct. KaBewM - 3:23pm, 29 September 2006 (PDT)

Thanks guys. I'm not trying to start a "who did what to whom" argument. There is a lot of discussion that this whole incident may be staged, similar to the O&A vs Ron and Fez argument last month. -JJP 24.61.225.194 14:10, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

In the interest of keeping Wikipedia free I've removed the protected state of this page. Hopefully this will not result in vandalism. KaBewM - 8:34pm, 29 September 2006 (PDT)

This part about O&A vs. The Doghouse doesn't really seem that big a deal to me. Maybe this is the first argument they've had since they've been in New York but they used to get into beef with other shows and dj's all the time when they were in the bay area.

[edit] launching of KIFR

I guess someone forgot that JV, Elvis, & Hollywood actually helped launch KIFR-FM before Adam Carolla started his contract. So try to remember that JV & Elvis did work in the bay again before getting picked up at Free FM 92.3

[edit] Clean up?

This article definitely needs to be cleaned up. It repeats information and is not as well organized as it should be. I'll leave this open to discussion and someone else placing a clean up tag, but I think there is sufficient reason to at least request a proper clean up of the article. 70.21.233.248 22:09, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
