Much as I like this page, it's probably better off in Wikisource, IMHO. Gzuckier 14:56, 24 August 2005 (UTC)

Is that typically where lyrics of songs are located? I would expect that each of these traditional songs that appear in the List of Newfoundland songs will have a story and background information accompanying them (stub). I have no issue with the location of the text as long as they are linked back to the list and any other reference within Wikipedia. HJKeats 15:13, August 24, 2005 (UTC)
Hmm. Well, it seemed to me that would be the place, but now that I actually go look there, I don't see any. I see places where they ought to be, but I can't actually find any. Of course, that doesn't mean that these wouldn't be the nucleus that could get the ball rolling. I like your idea of the info on the songs here, linked to the lyrics there.Wikisource:Songs Gzuckier 15:28, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
Certainly anything that improves Wikipedia and utilizes other Wikimedia sources is always a good thing, maybe we need some direction to identify how lyrics can be added. I had a look around also after your suggestion and we do have a hodge-podge of articles out there, some with lyrics and some without. If a suggested guideline exists or one that can be proposed, it can become a project to clean up some existing song related articles. HJKeats 15:38, August 24, 2005 (UTC)
