[edit] blatant plagiarism

Something that interests me is that the Apostles often put new lyrics to someone else's tune or at least took a chunk of a song and incorporated it into their own. I will have to get out my vinyl but tunes that they have used off the top of my head are:

Apostles - Swimming in the Sea of Life = Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird

Apostles - The Witness = The Pack - King of Kings

Apostles - Pigs for Slaughter = The Pack - No. 12

Apostles - Walking Away = Joy Division - Day Of The Lords

Anyone know any more? Stutley 18:07, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

I've never heard anything by them, but you mentioning "Pigs for Slaughter" as a rip-off of another band is funny, since Oi Polloi's song "Pigs for Slaughter" was ripped-off the Apostles (by Oi Polloi's own admission). They changed the music though, and after a while, the lyrics as well. Ungovernable ForcePoll: Which religious text should I read? 06:06, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
