Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Criteria for musicians and ensembles says:

10. Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, e.g. a theme for a network television show. (But if this is the only claim, it is probably more appropriate to have a mention in the main article and redirect to that page.)

Being an extra song on some video games is not a "theme song" for anything ... it's just a footnote ... using this logic, every group that has ever had a song in a video game is worthy of an article, and both of the games mentioned have several songs/groups that do not have Wikipedia articles. --72.75.104.44 05:25, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

I wouldn't underplay the importance of being an extra song in guitar hero. Yes it is extra but it's not just a fun little thing to be played in the background of the actual game play, it's a continuation of the actual game play in a significant way. To compare it to songs in other games where music isn't the focus would be unfair. Aside from that they are a real band that plays real shows and has two real albums avalible for purchase, one of which is on the very real iTunes music store. Don't get me wrong it's not that hard to get on the iTunes store, but it does take a certain amount of notability. This isn't just some band passing out demos to their five friends. You can find reviews of their music from legitimate sources. So yes they aren't the "theme song" of guitar hero per say, but they aren't only guitar hero.

And techincally they are the song played on the title screen of the game so...63.139.168.233 10:35, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Seems strange that anyone would feel so passionately about removing any entry for any of the reasons stated thusfar. Is it to be understood that Wikipedia being MORE informative and providing additional resources is somehow a bad thing? A band with multiple CDs for sale, that's featured in two popular video games, and that performs a number of shows... I'd think it likely that folks might want to check and see what Wiki has to say about them. 24.218.220.18 23:52, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Also, why single out this band? Nobody's called into question Graveyard BBQ being listed in Wikipedia, for example, and that band was only in ONE Guitar Hero video game and has only released one album. The whole thing seems arbitrary and smacks of some personal gripe against this group in particular. 24.218.220.18 05:08, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
