[edit] Story
Tak 2 begins some time after the first game. Tak has become a wiser and stronger shaman than he was in Tak and the Power of Juju. But one day, he begins to have weird dreams. In these dreams, Tak would have to save a princess and was guided by a mysterious voice. Tak would sleep for long periods and could not be woken without the use of force (Eventually, Lok put his armpit up to Tak's nose, and he woke up instantly).
To investigate these dreams, Jibolba takes Tak to see his brother, J.B. (Which literally stands for Jibolba's Brother). It is here that the two shamans learn of a Dream World. So Tak sets out to save the princess in his dreams. Later, he learns that the princess is actually two of Tlaloc's henchman, and the voice that guided Tak is now Tlaloc himself, who has been turned into a sheep. So Tak must once again defeat the evil Tlaloc with the help of Jibolba and Lok.
At the end of the game, the player learns that the entire game was a dream, and in the end, Tak awakes with a fright.
[edit] Gameplay
The gameplay is almost identical to the original Tak Game, whereas Taks weapon is always on hand and mana is represented by feather count and not a meter. It seems that more of the game takes place in a less of a tropical forest like the rainforest enviroment featured in the first Tak game. The game takes place in coniferous and snowy canyons or some desert canyons. In Certain parts of the game you play as Tak in a dream where you fight off nightmare creatures. Tak can also get certain animals to help him out in the real world, for example:
Squirrel: throws acorns at the nearest target when angered.
Bear: have bellies that can bounce Tak high enough to reach his objective. they have to be on their back eating honey.
Skunk: gives Tak a stench that causes everyone else to stay as far away from him as possible.
Beaver: can chew down trees to make bridges across rivers.
Wild Boar: can be ridden on if they like how you smell.
Jibolba Flea: Jibolba transformed into a flea to help Tak throught the game. Jibolba Flea can either bite animals (such as the squirrel) so they can help Tak or put animals to sleep.
Tak has also gained the ability to morph into some animals:
Flying Squirrels: can glide across canyons.
Bear: can slide down icy slides withour taking damage.
Frog: can swim through water safe of gators and cathes flys with tongue.
Wild Boar: can bash through walls and walk across lava.
[edit] New Jujus
- Giant Juju: A huge juju spirit whose upper body is not seen.
- Mind Reader Juju: A big-headed juju that thinks he reads minds.
- Fauna: The twin sister of Flora.
- Belly Juju: A hungry juju that has a mouth on his stomach..
