A colony of vampires takes over a ghost town of Purgatory, and under the leadership of Jozef Mardulak are developing a method of making artificial plasma. But another elder, Jefferson, who abhors the idea of vampires being anything other than predators, organizes a revolution. At the same time, a descendant of the original Abraham Van Helsing shows up, trying to fullfill his family "destiny."
