Road Trip: The Arcade Edition is a video game of the racing genre released in 2002 by Takara. This 3D game is only available for the Nintendo GameCube. It involves tiny little toy cars known in real life as Choro-Q or Penny Racers. There are many different modes in this game. The game also include weapons such as machine guns and shot guns. This game is unfortunately unpopular, probably because it is only for Gamecube (written above), it's rarity in most stores, and the similairity to the popular Mario Kart. However, with 100 cars, dozens of parts to buy, and highly detailed courses this game does have the word "fun" on it!

[edit] Gameplay

You first start with one car you choose from the 10 other ones. Some modes you choose are: Challenge Race (Single Player), Drag Racing (Extra), and Grand Prix (Single Player). To unlock extra cars and you must complete tracks in Challenge Race and Grand Prix. The tracks for the races are called: Road Trip Circuit, Road Trip Park, After School, Kid's Room, Road Trip Highway, and Silver Village. A new track, few cars, and parts will be unlocked if you pass the race (finish top 3) and you will unlock a free car if you finished first. The tracks will be short, middle, long, short reversed, middle reversed, and long reversed. Soon you will have 100 cars and many more parts including the legendary Devil Magnimum engine and the Road Trip Hurtle.

[edit] Secrets

  • There is a short cut on the corner of the bridge with no ditch at Siver Village
  • There is another shortcut on Road Trip Park (Long) at the end of the wooden bridge.
  • In Road Trip Highway (Long) you can fly off the steep hill and skip a whole part of the track, but this requires a lot of skill and speed (about 290 km/h or mph as in America and Canada) and there is a 90% chance that you won't make it and instead fall down the endless ditch.
  • In Kid Room (Long) Turn right before the nitrous(NOS) arrows, there you will find a narrow short cut letting you skip a whole part of the track.
