RevoLOUtion: The Transformation of Lou Benedetti is a fictional dramedy co-written by Deer Hunter writer Quinn Redeker, with a theme by Rocky composer Bill Conti. Directed by and starring Bret Carr, the film also features Kumar Pallana, Burt Young, Starla Benford, Ernest Mingione, Suzanne Didonna, and Jon Jacobs.

RevoLOUtion is the fictional story of Lou, a stuttering ex-boxer who can only speak normally when starting trouble protecting the Brooklyn neighborhood in which he lives. Lou transforms from violent, extreme stutterer into a great, powerful communicator.

The movie is filmmaker Bret Carr's ongoing personal project which is structured around an ancient rite of passage, and creates powerful transformational effects in some members of it's audience.[citation needed] Carr has shot additional scenes for the film every to two years since 1996, and having been rejected 5 years in a row from major film festivals, he eventually won or was nominated for Jury Prize and/or special distinctions at 14 of the top festivals such as Best Picture at Mailbu Film Festival, Best Picture at San Fransisco World Film Festival, Jury Prize Nomination at Slamdance Film Festival, and others.
Carr released the film in an unusual way: a "Pay What You Think It's Worth" after the movie is over platform grossed 5% more than normal box-office in Los Angeles during April of 2006.
Most notable is that the film was adopted by the Boys and Girls clubs to nurture their youth at risk past non-violence. Quoting from awareness magazine, "the viewer so identifies with Carr's Oscar Caliber performance, that they are taken on a near death psychological journey with "Lou", and come out having had their own awakening."[citation needed]
Carr continues to shoot additional footage to perfect his film, as he makes it available on a broader basis. Intent on impacting millions of lives with their immediate click-and-play, full-screen technology, Vividas, the technology partners behind the documentary "The Secret" made RevoLOUtion their first dramatic film to be streamed online.[citation needed]
