A guardian angel, hailing from Serra's plane and lost to Phyrexia when they attacked. Once, the Weatherlight crew had brought Crovax home to his family estate to do battle with two of Volrath’s evil servants. The ship departed once Crovax summoned Selenia - a guardian angel contained within an artifact marked by an ancient sigil - and defeated the demons. After the Weatherlight left, Crovax eventually fell in love with Selenia and freed her from magical servitude in the hope that she would stay with him. After a second attack Crovax joined the Weatherlight to find Selenia. As the Weatherlight arrived in Rath to rescue Sisay, they were immediately attacked by Volrath’s own ship, the Predator. Through her link with Crovax, the dark angel Selenia had led the warship to the Weatherlight. As the battle raged Crovax finally glimpsed Selenia, diving in and out of combat. He realised that Selenia now served Volrath. He didn’t know that Selenia, whose very creation equipped her with the empathic link to Crovax, despised Greven and Volrath and would choose to be with Crovax if she could, but she couldn’t question Volrath’s commands. Crovax wildly flailed his sword at Selenia, weeping for all he had lost. Sobbing, she defended, deliberately allowing one of Crovax's wild swings to strike home. She exploded in a burst of black-and-white mana that swirled around Crovax and forced its way into his body. Selenia's destiny is then fulfilled: Crovax's curse is set in motion, and he is ultimately condemned for killing all that he loves. He collapsed onto Selenia's sword and grows pale as death-but his breathing continues, as fangs push their way through his gums. "For a sharp second, Selenia froze, and Crovax's blade found home. As the angel shattered like glass, Crovax felt his mind collapse-the curse had been fulfilled." (Tempest, Stronghold).
