Legally Blonde: The Musical premiered at the Palace Theatre on Broadway on April 3, 2007, with the official opening date scheduled for April 29, 2007. The show is being produced by Hal Luftig, Fox Theatricals and Dori Berinstein, the producers of the Broadway musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. The score is by Nell Benjamin and Laurence O'Keefe and the book is by Heather Hach. O'Keefe is the composer/lyricist of Bat Boy: The Musical. The show is directed by Tony award winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell. The original cast stars Laura Bell Bundy and Christian Borle. Previews of the musical began January 23, 2007 at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco.

Previews of Legally Blonde: The Musical began in San Francisco at the Golden Gate Theatre on January 23rd 2007. After the success of the previews, the cast returned to Broadway's Palace Theatre to run previews. On April 29th, the show will officially open to the public.
